I had a mix of experiences during my one-night stay at Hotel Villa Acacia. While the location was super convenient and the grounds were beautifully kept, I faced some frustrating issues with my room and the staff's organization. Overall, it was a decent place but left me wanting more consistency.

I dealt with a significant hiccup upon arrival when the staff couldn't find my reservation, despite having confirmed it just hours before. The first room I got had a leak from the AC unit, and the replacement room was smaller and didn't have hot water. Not ideal!
Service
5.0
The front desk staff was friendly, but the lack of organization was disappointing. I had a hard time getting someone to help me with the parking garage, which turned into a bit of a fiasco. Still, they did help when the AC was leaking.

The hotel's location is a big plus. It's just a couple of blocks from the beautiful black sand beach, and there's a mini-super nearby for convenience. Perfect as a base to explore the area.
Dining

Breakfast was included, and it was tasty and filling, with options like fruit, rice, beans, and coffee. The onsite restaurant is another highlight; I really enjoyed the pizza.

The hotel's outdoor area looked lovely, but the hot tubs were all closed when I was there. The facilities seemed nice but needed some improvements.

My stay at Hotel Villa Acacia had its ups and downs. While the location was perfect, a short walk to the beach, and the gardens were beautiful, I faced some major issues with my room and check-in process. The service was a mix; some staff were super helpful, but there were definitely moments of confusion that dampened my experience.

Rooms
5.0
The room was clean and comfortable, but I had a non-functional shower heater and a missing bulb in the bedside lamp. Plus, the initial room had an AC leak, which made for a frustrating start to my stay.
Service
5.0
Some staff were accommodating, but there were check-in mix-ups, and I spent time trying to figure out how to get my car out of the garage because finding a staff member was tricky.
Location

The location is great, just a five-minute walk to the beach and close to a grocery store, which was super handy. The gardens were lovely and full of wildlife, which I really enjoyed.
Dining

Dining at the hotel was good with reasonable prices. I loved the full red snapper and the breakfast buffet, which had a nice spread including fruit, eggs, and coffee that got my day started right.
Facilities

The overall facility was well-kept, but I noticed the hot tubs were closed during my stay, which was a bummer. The small pool was charming, though.

I had a pleasant stay at Hotel Villa Acacia. The gardens were beautiful and filled with birds and iguanas, and the little pool was a lovely spot to relax. The staff were helpful, but I did run into some issues with room maintenance. Overall, it was a good budget option close to the beach, but some improvements could be made.

Rooms
7.0
The rooms were simple and clean, but lacked a fridge and safe. While my kids found the beds comfy, there were issues with cold water in one room during our stay. The decor was basic, so don't expect luxury.
Service
8.0
The front desk staff were really kind and helped organize airport pickups and tours. They made me and my family feel safe and comfortable, which I appreciated a lot. However, there were a few instances where communication about maintenance wasn't the best.

I loved that it was just a short walk to the beach and close to a supermarket. It was in a great spot for exploring Playa Hermosa, surrounded by nature, which made for a really pleasant atmosphere.
Dining

Breakfast was included and pretty filling, featuring fruit, rice, and eggs. The food was decent, but nothing to rave about. I felt there could've been a bit more variety in the offerings.
Facilities

The small pool was well-kept and a perfect spot to unwind. They also offered dry cleaning, which was useful. However, I’d have liked to see a few more amenities for added comfort.

I enjoyed my six-night stay at Hotel Villa Acacia, as it served as a cozy base for exploring Playa Hermosa. The onsite dining was pleasant, with good food options and a decent breakfast buffet. However, I encountered some issues with room maintenance and furnishings, which put a damper on my overall experience. Still, the location was convenient, just a short walk to the beach! 🌊

My room was smaller than expected, but it was clean and had effective air conditioning. However, it was severely sparsely furnished and lacked basic amenities like a table or hot water.

The staff members were friendly and helpful, but they seemed unaware of some local service options like kayak rentals, which was disappointing.

The location was quiet and lovely, just a 5-minute walk from the beach, which was one of the best features of my stay.

The restaurant served a good buffet breakfast, which included a variety of tasty items, although some meals were better than others.

While the facilities were basic and the pool small, the gardens were immaculate and added charm to the atmosphere.

My stay at Hotel Villa Acacia had its highs and lows. The grounds were really lovely, and I appreciated the proximity to Playa Hermosa. However, the regular room I got left a bit to be desired for the price I paid. Breakfast was decent, but the service could have been better.

Rooms
6.0
The room was clean and comfortable, but it felt a bit sparse and didn't quite match what I paid for. It had nice features like a TV and air conditioning, but I was expecting a bit more based on the price tag.
Service
